Julio Ballestas, MD
Dr. J obtained his medical degree in Colombia and completed his internship at the Central Military Hospital. Early in his career, Dr. J was called to serve at risk populations including refugees of war and Veterans, publishing papers on risks for PTSD.

After graduation in 2004, he began his career in Optimal Health and Rejuvenation Medicine, learning how to reverse the aging process by optimizing overall health and wellbeing. Through his work he realized a key factor required for people to transform their lifestyles was having the right mindset and emotional health.

This prompted Dr. J to focus on mental health, completing his residency in Psychiatry at Albert Einstein (Bronx Lebanon Hospital) NYC, where he then served as Chief Resident, Chief of Quality Improvement and Chief of Research.
Dr. J was proudly elected Resident Leader of all medical specialties and later served as the Medical Union Leader of CIR (Commission of Interns and Residents) where he supported all medical residents of New York City. ​​

His commitment to underserved populations led him to volunteer in the Department of Global Mental Health at Columbia University, NYC and traveled to Uganda, Africa in 2013 to assist populations suffering from mental health disorders after the LRA war.

Dr. J later turned his focus to national health to support the growing mental health crisis in America. He completed a Fellowship in Public & Community Psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine. His contributions to public health granted Dr. J a leadership position at the American Psychiatric Association.
His interest on treating the whole person inspired him to study Functional Medicine and Integrative Medicine learning numerous medical modalities to improve the health and wellbeing of his patients.
After studying the body and mind, Dr. J was called to learn spiritual medicine; trained in Energy-Psychology and Bio-field Medicine. Later traveled to South India to learn concepts of Ayurveda, obtaining the spiritual blessing and guidance of Sri Sakthi Amma.

Inspired by his own Native American heritage and being a family member of a US Veteran, Dr. J continues to participate on national public health projects and is now actively collaborating with the US Department of Veterans Affairs to help reduce suicide rates and PTSD of our veterans. He works alongside with the American Heart Association helping multiple Indigenous Native Americans tribes improve their health and wellbeing.
In 2024, Dr. J was awarded as a Top US Doctor for his professional contribution, specializing in holistic mental health and Rejuvenation Medicine.
